We all know that the nation of Israel is hated by many. We also know that in the current narrative people often claim that Israel has no right to be in that land.

What does the Bible say about this issue?

I will answer that with ten statements below.

First statement: Back in Genesis 12:1-3 God told Abraham that he was to leave his homeland called Ur of the Chaldees and go to the land that God would show him and give him.

Second statement: God repeated the promise to Abraham several times after that. For example, once Abraham was in Schechem God spoke to him to let him know that this was the land “The LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built can altar there to the LORD who had appeared to him” (12:7).

Third: God repeated the promise again in chapter 13:14-18 (cf. v. 15: “I give it to you and your descendants forever” [עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃]).

Fourth: God repeated the promise again in chapter 15:7, 18-21 (the promise that the land would go from the Euphrates to the Brook of Egypt).

Fifth: In Genesis 17:7-8, God said, “I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your 1descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you. “I will give to you and to your 1descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

Sixth: Here is what God told Jacob in Genesis 28:15 as Jacob was leaving the land 20 years earlier: “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have 1promised you.” (cf. Genesis 35:9-12 where the land promise is said to be specifically to the descendants of Israel).

Seventh: Babylon invaded the land and brought it to ruins in 605, but it was still their land.

Eighth: Rome crushed the Jews and brought Jerusalem to ruins in A.D. 70, but it was still their land.

Ninth: The land of Canaan has belonged to the people of Israel for over 3,500 years since God gave them possession in the days of Joshua, and it has never become another country.

Tenth: Islam invaded the land in the seventh century A.D., but it never became another country. There is no such thing as a nation called Palestine. Arab/Muslim invasions tried to keep the Jews from reclaiming the land, but they did not succeed.
When Israel reestablished itself on May 14, 1948 it was resettling that which has always been its own land.

The unsaved world rejects this message and creates a narrative that accuses Israel of being wrong for being in that land. The Bible tells us otherwise.
